Card: -64- Blue Moon
Looks like there could be some special and rare magic in the air leading up to the next full moon on April 1.
Two inspirations were behind this card, which is part of the "Pathways" suit: a song and its video by Gowan (Moonlight Desires) and the blue moon itself. One interpretation of a blue moon is the second full moon within a month. The Moonlight Desires video was filmed at the Plaza of the Moon at Teotihuacan in Mexico. (The video is available to view on YouTube for anyone that is interested.)
Let's take a walk through the story of where the images started out before I collaged them!
Stars — found in Salem, MA, scattered around the pavement beneath a sculpture honouring Samantha from Bewitched.
Moon — part of my own artwork from a hand-painted quilt that I made, inspired by the song Moonlight Desires.
Butterfly/Rainbow Comet — a shiny foil butterfly combined with a child's drawing of a rainbow; both were found while out and about walking with our dogs.
Flickers — part of our neighbourhood wildlife that were hunting for ants in our yard and garden.
Oriental Lilies — we had a variety of beautiful oriental lilies growing in our garden for many years.
Pyramid and Head Sculpture — these are both featured at The Lost City of Cibola pool at The Coronado Springs Resort in Walt Disney World. The pictures were collected following Hurricane Irma, after we had been relocated to this hotel due to our cruise being cancelled.
