Announcing: Hobbes' Spirit Postcards Adventures From The Other Side, Tripping The Light Fantastic
(This is a new blog-like feature that will include a bit of extra information about each card)
Since our cat Hobbes transitioned to spirit, we decided to have some fun and do a regular communication to share. We will usually be using my Soul-Pet Camino Deck. The messages on these cards were channeled from the Soul-Pet collective — and therefore are actually what our soul-pets and other animal friends wish to share with us: their wisdom, their love, their insights, and their continued connection with us, even after they have transitioned to spirit.
It is part of our humanness to question — did we do the right thing, are they alright? When what they really want is to let us know that they loved us and continue to love us. They made choices for their experiences with us and have no regrets or misgivings about the path their life took.
Hobbes (transitioned to spirit September 26, 2025) was joined by guest star companions our sheltie Rosie, who joined him on December 5, 2025, and our horse Kathmandu (Mandu), who joined him January 20, 2026 — "Tripping the Light Fantastic."

Card: -50- Found Symbols
Something delightful to watch for as we begin spring — magical messages in the form of symbols from our Soul-Pets and anyone else that is guiding us from spirit.
In the beginning of creating the Soul-Pet Deck, I started collecting images of found objects as I traveled through daily life. After a while, different "collections" began to come together. For this group, I decided that setting them up within a jigsaw puzzle layout was appealing, as each object represented a piece of a communication puzzle. Sometimes the messages we receive are crystal clear, and other times we need to "puzzle" them out to discern what they mean to us.
The "Found" suit from the Soul-Pet Deck and Soul-Pet Camino Deck each have 12 different found objects. The symbols collection includes:
Star confetti
A child's rainbow drawing
A butterfly Post-it note
A feather
A silk flower
A random group of playing cards
A sparkly snowflake
A rainbow drawing from a wall
(the group listed above were found when I was out and about in the city or walking with our dogs — Rosie, Pixie and Simba accompanied me on many of these walks)
Shells found on a Caribbean shore
A penny found in Maui (one I consider to be a message from Wayne Dyer)
A crystal marble from Nassau, Bahamas
A crystal geometric carving found on Bell Rock in Sedona
A heart-shaped rock found in a garden in Orlando following Hurricane Irma in 2017
An intriguing collection of glass bits and pieces that showed up in our garden
Each one of these can carry a special message at any point in time, and even that may change depending on the day it is found or realized. The messages are all around us. We just need to remember to be open to receiving them.
